Holding States Accountable for Milestone Achievements – A Collaborative, Multi-State Approach (2011)

Summary: This was a collaborative project to fund an accountability project that engages conservation organization in evaluating and reporting on the Bay states’ progress toward setting and achieving milestone goals for reducing pollution to the Chesapeake Bay.

Outcome: The new Chesapeake Bay plan requires federal/state commitments to milestones, deadlines, and measurable progress. It is a transformative grant that can produce major changes in the way the environment of Virginia is understood, managed and protected.
